Economic Crisis in Kurdistan Region and Prospects of Overcoming it

On Thursday Dec. 17th 2015, a seminar titled “Economic Crisis in Kurdistan Region and Prospects of Overcoming it,” was presented by Dr. Sherko Jawdat, the Chairman of Natural Resources Committee in Kurdistan Parliament.
In his seminar, Dr. Jawdat explained the nature of the current economic crisis and the factors that have been causing such a crisis in Kurdistan Region, in Iraq. At the last part of his seminar, Dr. Jawdat summed up the prospects of overcoming today’s crisis in KR, at six levels: the rule of law, rebuilding the economic system, reducing corruption to a usual level, activating the monitoring institutions in the government, and vitalizing the private sector.
